Glendale, AZ (January 11, 2026) – A serious crash disrupted a residential area of Glendale after two vehicles collided near the intersection of 61st Ave and W Maryland Ave on Saturday morning. The accident occurred on January 10 at approximately 9 a.m., drawing an immediate response from Glendale Fire and Rescue along with local law enforcement.
Initial reports indicate that one vehicle entered the intersection and struck a second car, causing that vehicle to veer off the roadway and crash into the backyard of a nearby home on W Maryland Ave. Fortunately, no one was inside the residence at the time of the incident. Paramedics evaluated those involved at the scene before transporting three individuals to area hospitals for treatment of a variety of injuries.
Police remained on-site for an extended period while crews worked to assess the damage and secure the area. The intersection was partially restricted as investigators documented the scene and gathered information from witnesses. Officers confirmed that the driver alleged to have failed to stop at the intersection was being processed in connection with an impaired driving investigation.
