Pemiscot, MO (January 11, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision on Friday afternoon on US 412 at Route B, approximately four miles west of Hayti, resulted in injuries and significant vehicle damage, according to officials with Troop E of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:40 p.m. in Pemiscot County when a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by a 74-year-old woman from Bernie, reportedly pulled into the path of a westbound 2016 GMC Sierra driven by a 52-year-old man from Clarksville, TN. The resulting impact left the Mercury with extensive damage and the GMC with moderate damage.
The female driver of the Mercury, who was not wearing a seatbelt, sustained injuries in the collision. She was transported by ambulance to Pemiscot Memorial in Hayti for treatment. The GMC driver was not injured and had been properly restrained.
Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Ace Wrecker, and authorities remained present to investigate and clear the roadway.
