Valley Springs, CA (January 12, 2026) – A serious head-on collision left multiple individuals with major injuries Thursday afternoon on Camanche Parkway, north of Highway 12, in the Valley Springs area. The crash was reported around 12:15 p.m. on January 8, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Emergency responders arrived on scene between Quartz Rd and Pattison Way, where two vehicles were found with extensive front-end damage consistent with a high-impact, head-on crash. First responders quickly began medical treatment and arranged transportation for those injured.
At least one person sustained major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for further care. The number of people involved has not been confirmed, and the identities of those injured have not yet been released.
The specific cause of the crash remains unknown, and investigators are working to determine the factors that led to the vehicles colliding. CHP has not indicated whether speed, distraction, or other road conditions played a role.
Authorities remained on scene for an extended period to investigate and clear the roadway.
