Columbus, GA (January 12, 2026) – A pedestrian was killed on Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Veterans Parkway near Almond Rd, according to the Columbus Police Department.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene shortly after the collision was reported. Officers arrived to find the victim suffering from fatal injuries, and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred along a busy stretch of Veterans Parkway, prompting an investigation by the department’s Motor Squad.

Authorities have not released the name of the victim or details about the driver involved.
