Thornton, CO (January 12, 2026) – A crash resulting in injuries was reported at the intersection of E 88th Ave and McElwain Blvd on January 11. Emergency response teams, including Engine 14 and Medic 71, were dispatched to the scene around 4:43 p.m. to provide assistance.
At least one individual sustained injuries in the collision, though officials have not released the extent or nature of those injuries. Responders worked to evaluate the parties involved and administer medical aid as needed on-site.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear, and there has been no confirmation on how many vehicles were involved. Portions of the roadway may have been affected during the emergency response and investigation.
Thornton authorities are actively reviewing the incident to determine what factors may have contributed to the collision.
