Coventry Twp, OH (January 13, 2026) – A 72-year-old woman tragically lost her life Sunday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of St. Francis de Sales Church in Coventry Township.
The fatal incident occurred at approximately 12:05 p.m. on January 11. According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, the victim has been identified as Maria Murawski. She was struck by a 2017 Buick SUV driven by a 90-year-old woman while in the church parking lot.
Firefighters responded swiftly and transported Murawski to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased from her injuries. Authorities have not disclosed further details on the events leading up to the crash.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that charges are pending, and the Summit Metro Response Team is actively investigating the case.
