Indianapolis, IN (January 13, 2026) – A crash involving at least two vehicles resulted in injuries on the evening of January 12 near the 3800 block of East 38th St in Indianapolis. The collision occurred around 8:18 p.m. and was initially flagged as a “no information accident” after a crash detection alert was received from a mobile device with a car horn sounding in the background.
Emergency dispatchers later confirmed the crash involved a black Chrysler Pacifica and a silver Honda Accord, both of which were reported to be blocking the intersection. Additional callers referenced the presence of flashing hazard lights and a female occupant who appeared to be injured.
Medics arrived to assist the woman, who had visible facial injuries and was bleeding from the mouth, though she remained conscious and alert at the scene. Units confirmed the driver was awake and breathing, and she was promptly evaluated by EMS.
Due to the severity of the front-end damage on at least one vehicle, towing services were requested, and the intersection experienced brief delays while responders worked to clear the scene.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash, including collecting vehicle information and verifying statements from witnesses and involved parties.
We send our well wishes to the woman injured and hope for a swift recovery.
