Anderson Twp, OH (January 14, 2026) – A Hamilton County sheriff’s deputy and others sustained minor injuries after a crash on I-275 late Tuesday night. The incident occurred around 10:00 p.m. near the 8-Mile Rd exit while the deputy was investigating a separate accident along the highway.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy’s cruiser was rear-ended during the investigation. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the impact and assessed those involved. All parties, including the deputy, were treated for minor injuries and are expected to recover.
Authorities have not yet released information on what caused the secondary crash, but investigators have indicated that impairment is not suspected in the driver who struck the cruiser. It remains unclear whether any citations or charges will be filed.
I-275 was closed for several hours following the incident as crews cleared the scene and conducted an investigation. The roadway has since been reopened.
