Bridgewater Twp., MI (January 15, 2026) – A fatal two-car crash on US-12 near Lima Center Road in Bridgewater Township claimed the life of one individual on January 14. The crash occurred in a rural section of Washtenaw County, just outside the Clinton area.
Michigan State Police responded to the scene shortly before 1 p.m. after receiving reports of a serious collision. According to Lt. Rene Gonzalez, one person was confirmed deceased as a result of the crash. It is not yet known whether any other individuals were involved or injured.
The roadway was shut down in both directions as investigators worked to document the scene and determine the cause of the accident. Details about the vehicles, potential contributing factors, or the identity of the deceased have not been released.
The investigation remains active, and further information is expected as authorities continue their review.
