Lansing, MI (January 18, 2026) – A serious three-vehicle collision involving a police officer and multiple civilians took place on January 17 at the intersection of East Holmes Road and South Cedar Street in Lansing. The crash resulted in multiple injuries and prompted a large-scale emergency response.
According to dispatch reports, one of the injured individuals was found unconscious and exhibiting agonal breathing, prompting an immediate trauma alert. Several ambulances and fire units were sent to the scene, and Sparrow Hospital was notified in advance to receive multiple trauma patients.
The crash reportedly involved a marked police unit and two other vehicles. Scene command was established by first-arriving personnel to coordinate triage, treatment, and transport efforts.
