Troy, NY (January 20, 2026) – A pedestrian sustained serious injuries Monday evening after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Hoosick St and 15th St, according to the Troy Police Department.
The incident occurred around 5:45 p.m., when officers responded to reports of a person hit by a vehicle. Initial witness accounts indicate that the pedestrian, an adult male dressed in dark clothing, was crossing Hoosick St outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a westbound vehicle.
Emergency medical personnel arrived promptly and provided immediate treatment to the injured man before transporting him to a nearby hospital. His injuries were described as serious, and no further updates on his condition have been made available at this time.
The driver involved, also an adult male, remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation. Authorities later issued him a citation for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
