Des Moines, IA (January 20, 2026) – Emergency crews responded Monday afternoon to a two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Parkway and Hickman Rd, where two individuals were reportedly injured.
The collision occurred around 1:43 p.m. on January 19. According to dispatch audio, the crash resulted in moderate vehicle damage and prompted a medical response after two occupants at the scene reported chest discomfort. First responders arrived quickly to assess injuries and provide necessary care.
While the identities of those involved have not been released, both patients were evaluated on-site, and further medical treatment was arranged as needed. Traffic was impacted briefly as emergency personnel secured the area and investigated the circumstances of the crash.
