Detroit, MI (January 21, 2026) – A 44-year-old man was transported to the hospital early on Tuesday morning following an injury accident near Moross Rd in Detroit. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after 3:18 a.m. to assist after reports of a vehicle striking a pole following a collision.
According to dispatch communications, the crash occurred when the man’s vehicle was struck by another car traveling between 25 and 35 miles per hour. The impact forced his vehicle off the roadway, where it subsequently collided with a utility pole.
The injured driver remained conscious and alert following the crash and was able to exit his vehicle under his own power. He reported pain in his hip and along his left side. Despite the significant force of the collision, airbags did not deploy.
Emergency medical personnel transported the man to St. John’s Hospital in Wayne County for further evaluation. He was reported to be in stable condition during transport.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident to determine contributing factors and whether any citations may be issued.
