Washington County, TN (January 21, 2026) – A crash involving a school bus and a passenger vehicle left two people injured on Tuesday morning in Washington County. The incident occurred just before 8:00 a.m. on State Route 354 (Boones Creek Rd), according to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).
Medics and fire crews responded quickly and provided care to the injured parties at the scene. The individuals that were in the passenger vehicle sustained a variety of injuries and were transported for further treatment. Their current conditions have not been publicly released.
The THP report states that a 2008 Honda Civic was traveling behind a Washington County school bus when the collision occurred. Fortunately, no children were on board the bus at the time of the incident. Both vehicles were disabled and remained at the scene while authorities conducted their investigation.
