Rochester, NY (January 23, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries prompted an Advanced Life Support (ALS) emergency response on Thursday on Route 490 eastbound near mile marker 3.3 in Rochester.
The crash occurred during active travel hours and involved at least one vehicle requiring immediate medical attention for an injured occupant. ALS units responded due to the seriousness of the injuries reported at the scene. Medics provided advanced treatment on-site before transporting the patient to a nearby hospital.
Traffic in the eastbound lanes of Route 490 was affected as emergency crews secured the scene and cleared debris from the roadway. The number of people injured and the extent of those injuries have not yet been confirmed by authorities.
