Palm Beach County, FL (January 23, 2026) – A 29-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday night after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle that fled the scene, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Military Trail near Canal 10 Road. Authorities say the motorcyclist, identified as Dayan Rodriguez, was riding southbound when a vehicle traveling north made an abrupt U-turn in front of him.
Rodriguez struck the passenger side of the vehicle and was thrown from his motorcycle due to the impact. The driver of the vehicle did not stop and continued south on Military Trail, leaving the scene without providing aid or identifying themselves.
Emergency responders transported Rodriguez to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead early Thursday morning.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for the driver and vehicle involved. No description of the vehicle has been made public, and investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward.
