Lodi, CA (January 23, 2026) – A high-speed collision near a local elementary school left two people injured on Wednesday afternoon in Lodi. The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on January 21 along West Elm Street, close to Erma B. Reese Elementary School, according to the Lodi Police Department.
Preliminary reports indicate that a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed slammed into two parked vehicles along the street. The force of the impact caused the moving vehicle to become wedged beneath one of the parked cars.
Emergency responders from the Lodi Fire Department and police units quickly arrived on scene to assist. An adult and a juvenile involved in the crash were transported to San Joaquin General Hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released the current condition of the victims.
The area surrounding the school was temporarily impacted as first responders secured the scene and investigated the circumstances of the crash. No other injuries were reported, and no charges have been announced as of this time.
An active investigation remains underway to determine whether speed, distraction, or other factors contributed to the collision.
