Southington, CT (January 23, 2026) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a multi-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Meriden Waterbury Turnpike and Canal St, prompting a significant emergency response.

The crash occurred on January 22 and involved four passenger vehicles and one motorcycle. Southington police and fire crews were dispatched to the scene and worked to assess the situation and assist the individuals involved.

Emergency medical personnel provided immediate care to the motorcyclist, who suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. The rider was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. No additional injuries have been reported at this time.
