Birmingham, AL (January 23, 2026) – A motor vehicle collision involving an Audi and a residential mailbox left one driver injured early Wednesday morning near Hickory Ridge Drive and Willow Circle.
The crash was reported at approximately 6:57 a.m., and emergency crews arrived to find the vehicle with front-end damage, deployed airbags, and smoke coming from the engine compartment. Initial reports indicated the driver was injured and required medical attention on scene.
Fire and EMS teams quickly worked to stabilize the vehicle and assess the driver’s condition. The extent of the injuries has not yet been disclosed, and it is unclear whether the individual was transported to a hospital for further care.
