Newark, NJ (January 23, 2026) – A two-car accident involving injuries occurred on Wednesday afternoon near South Street in Newark. Emergency responders from Engine 7 and additional rescue crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 3:00 p.m. to assist the injured and secure the area.
According to reports, one of the vehicles involved left the scene before law enforcement arrived, prompting an ongoing investigation into a possible hit-and-run.
