Tustin, CA (January 24, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a traffic collision involving injuries on Friday evening at the intersection of Walnut Ave and Franklin Ave in Tustin. The crash occurred around 6:35 p.m., drawing a prompt response from Tustin Police and Orange County Fire Authority units.
First responders, including paramedics, assessed and treated individuals injured in the crash. A variety of injuries were reported, and at least one person was transported to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation and care. Officials have not yet confirmed the total number of those hurt.
The collision involved multiple vehicles and caused significant disruption in the surrounding neighborhood. Both directions of Walnut Ave experienced traffic delays as emergency personnel secured the area and removed damaged vehicles from the roadway.
At this time, investigators are working to determine the sequence of events that led to the crash. Contributing factors such as driver behavior, visibility, and intersection conditions are being reviewed.
