Shreveport, LA (January 24, 2026) – A 24-year-old pregnant woman was injured in a vehicle collision Friday afternoon near Kings Highway in Shreveport, prompting a medical transport to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
According to emergency radio traffic, the woman, who is three months pregnant, sustained head and left side pain after her vehicle was sideswiped. No airbags were deployed, but the patient reported a possible brief loss of consciousness and later complained of blurred vision. She had also recently undergone eye surgery earlier in December.
Paramedics assessed the patient on scene and reported that she was alert, oriented, and hemodynamically stable during transport. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and denied any neck or back pain. The vehicle sustained moderate damage to its left side.
