Indianapolis, IN (January 24, 2026) – Two adult women were transported to Methodist Hospital Friday afternoon following a collision involving a semi-truck on N Senate Ave. The crash, reported around 3:14 p.m., resulted in significant vehicle intrusion and prompted a trauma alert due to the severity of the impact.
According to emergency personnel, the vehicle was sideswiped by a semi-truck, causing roughly two feet of intrusion at the driver’s side door and approximately 18 inches near the B pillar. A 39-year-old woman, seated in the back on the driver’s side, sustained lower back pain, as well as discomfort in her left leg and arm—injuries reportedly caused when the door struck her during the impact. She remained conscious, with stable vital signs, and was being treated en route.
The second passenger, a 22-year-old woman, was also transported as a precaution due to the traumatic mechanism of the crash, though she reported no injuries at the scene. Her vital signs remained within normal limits, and no treatment was planned during transport.
Authorities have not yet confirmed further details regarding the cause of the crash or the involvement of the semi-truck operator. The incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with both individuals, and we wish them a full and swift recovery.
