Sarasota, FL (January 25, 2026) – A 4-year-old child sustained serious injuries after being struck by an SUV within an apartment complex on 67th Dr E, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred when a 20-year-old male was operating the SUV inside the complex. The child was hit under circumstances that have not yet been fully detailed by investigators. Emergency responders arrived on scene and provided immediate care before transporting the child to All Children’s Hospital.
