Oakland, CA (January 25, 2026) – Emergency medical crews responded Saturday evening to a vehicle crash involving a 38-year-old driver on East 31st St. The incident occurred around 8:06 p.m., prompting a Code 2 trauma activation and transport to Highland Hospital.
According to dispatch communication, Medic 255 transported the injured man with non-life-threatening but concerning symptoms following a motor vehicle collision on surface streets. Medics reported that the crash involved moderate passenger-side damage, with no airbag deployment and uncertainty regarding whether the driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Paramedics treated the patient for head lacerations and confusion, noting repetitive questioning and disorientation. Although there were no obvious signs of major trauma, the patient was placed in a cervical collar and administered oxygen. Vital signs were stable during transport, with ongoing monitoring and IV access being established en route to the trauma center.
