Pettis, MO (January 26, 2026) – A hit-and-run accident early on Monday morning left one driver injured in Sedalia after a collision at the intersection of N Broadway Blvd and N Osage Ave.
According to Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 2:45 a.m. when a 2013 GMC entered the intersection and collided with a 2025 Dodge Durango traveling eastbound. The GMC fled the scene in an unknown direction immediately following the crash.
The impact caused the Durango to sustain total damage and required it to be towed from the scene by State Fair. The driver of the Durango, a 29-year-old man from Sedalia, suffered injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional for medical evaluation. Authorities confirmed that he had been wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.
Emergency medical services, along with officers from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office and Sedalia Police Department, responded to the scene. Investigators are currently working to identify the driver of the fleeing GMC and gather more details about the circumstances of the crash.
