Ascension Parish, LA (January 26, 2026) – A vehicle accident with injuries disrupted traffic on I-10 Westbound on Sunday afternoon near the 170 mile marker, just beyond the Prairieville exit.
The collision occurred on January 25 and was reported by local traffic monitors as involving at least one person hurt. First responders were dispatched to the scene to provide medical aid and assist with traffic control along the busy stretch of interstate.
The crash led to delays on the westbound lanes of I-10 as emergency crews worked to evaluate injuries and clear the affected vehicles. The number of individuals involved and the extent of injuries have not yet been released by authorities.
This section of I-10 sees heavy daily traffic, especially near Prairieville, increasing the likelihood of slowdowns following any serious incident.
