Irvine, CA (January 29, 2026) – A traffic collision near the UC Irvine campus led to injuries Wednesday night at the intersection of Campus Dr and University Dr, drawing emergency responders to the scene.
The crash took place at approximately 9:41 p.m., near one of the city’s busiest intersections adjacent to the university. First responders arrived quickly and assisted at least one person who sustained injuries in the incident. Medical personnel provided care at the scene before transporting the individual to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The current condition of the victim has not been released.
The accident involved multiple vehicles, though specific details regarding the number of occupants or how the crash occurred have not been disclosed. Portions of Campus Dr and University Dr were temporarily impacted as authorities managed traffic flow and conducted preliminary investigations.
