San Francisco, CA (January 29, 2026) – Two individuals were injured in a car accident Wednesday evening on the southbound side of US-101 near the Cesar Chavez St off-ramp in the Bernal Heights area, according to local reports.
The incident was reported at approximately 5:20 p.m. during rush hour traffic, involving at least two vehicles that collided in the southbound lanes. Paramedics arrived on scene and provided care to both injured individuals before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
The crash caused a temporary slowdown on the highway as emergency responders worked to assist those involved and remove damaged vehicles from the lanes. Debris from the impact was cleared, and normal traffic flow resumed shortly afterward.
