Fresno, CA (January 29, 2026) – A 20-year-old man riding a scooter sustained major injuries after being struck by a vehicle near Fresno State Tuesday evening, according to Fresno police.
The collision occurred around 6:00 p.m. on January 27 at the intersection of Maple Ave and Shaw Ave. Authorities reported that the man was riding a scooter in the bike lane when he was hit by a vehicle under circumstances that are still being investigated.
Emergency personnel responded swiftly and located the rider unconscious with serious facial injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. His current condition has not been publicly disclosed.
