Indianapolis, IN (January 29, 2026) – A 13-year-old boy was injured in a hit-and-run incident on January 28 after being struck by a vehicle outside a motel located at 3525 N Shadeland Ave. The collision occurred around 6:52 p.m. in the Arlington Woods neighborhood and prompted an immediate response from emergency crews.
Authorities said the young victim had been near Motel 6 when he was hit by a white sedan that fled the scene heading northbound on Shadeland Ave. Medics from Engine 44 and Medic 44 responded to Room 251 at the motel to provide urgent care to the injured teen. His current condition has not been made public.
Officers are now actively investigating the incident and working to identify the driver involved in the hit-and-run. The crash took place within the boundaries of Warren Township and City Council District 9.
