Bowling Green, KY (January 29, 2026) – A serious incident near Weldon Peete Park led to a medical emergency involving CPR after a crash on River St. The incident took place on January 25 and involved a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer near the intersection with Old Louisville Rd and Smokey Pig Rd.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene after receiving a crash notification. Upon arrival, responders found a stroke patient who had reportedly lost consciousness. Bystanders had initiated CPR prior to the arrival of Rescue 1 and other first responders.
The full nature of the crash and its connection to the medical episode are still under investigation. No additional details on the individual’s current condition have been released. The scene was located near the entrance to Weldon Peete Park, a high-traffic area during evening hours.
