Opelika, AL (January 30, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured Thursday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle near the Marvyn Parkway Raceway in Opelika, prompting a swift response from emergency crews.
The incident was reported at approximately 4:26 p.m., according to dispatch communications from Lee County Public Safety. Upon arrival at the scene along Marvyn Parkway, first responders located the injured pedestrian and established command to manage the scene.
Preliminary reports indicated that the individual sustained a possible leg injury as a result of the collision.
