Colorado Springs, CO (January 31, 2026) – A major collision involving two vehicles at Agora Point and North Academy Blvd led to multiple injuries Friday night, prompting a large-scale emergency response in northern Colorado Springs. The crash occurred shortly after 8:20 p.m. and included reports of a person trapped inside a vehicle.
Fire crews from Engine 14 and Truck 19 arrived to find a silver Subaru with at least one occupant requiring extrication. Emergency responders classified the incident as a working entrapment due to the need for specialized rescue efforts. Truck 19 was assigned to perform the door removal on the Subaru, while paramedics began triaging and treating the injured.
Two individuals were classified as red-priority patients, indicating serious injuries. One child was initially reported unconscious on the sidewalk, and at least six people were believed to be involved in the crash. Several ambulances were requested to the scene, and additional personnel—including Hazmat 14—were staged nearby to assist with patient care due to the high number of injured individuals.
Authorities established a command post at the intersection, and traffic was heavily impacted as emergency vehicles operated across multiple lanes. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by local law enforcement.
