San Diego, CA (February 1, 2026) – A serious motor vehicle collision near Frost St in the Kearny Mesa area of San Diego late Friday night resulted in multiple injuries, including at least two young women who required emergency medical care.
Emergency medical teams, including Engine 6 and several ambulance crews from Chula Vista and Sharp, responded to the scene just before midnight. First responders worked to stabilize and transport at least three patients from the crash site. One 19-year-old female passenger, initially hesitant to receive treatment, was ultimately transported with a cervical collar in place after exhibiting head, neck, and back pain, along with lacerations to her right arm. Reports indicated significant intrusion on the passenger side of the vehicle, suggesting the force of impact was substantial.
A second passenger, a 22-year-old woman riding in the back seat, also sustained injuries and was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital as a trauma patient. She reported head pain but did not lose consciousness. Additional individuals involved in the crash were reportedly taken to Rady Children’s Hospital for further evaluation.
The crash prompted a multi-agency medical response, with coordination between Mercy Hospital, Sharp Memorial, and multiple paramedic teams. The exact location of the incident along Frost St has not been confirmed, but officials described the situation as involving serious injuries and vehicle damage consistent with a high-mechanism impact.
Authorities have not released further information about how the collision occurred or how many vehicles were involved. The incident remains under active investigation.
