Xenia, OH (February 3, 2026) – A serious accident involving two vehicles claimed one life and left others with significant injuries in Xenia on Monday. The incident occurred along U.S. Route 42 near Richland Rd, an area that saw emergency activity following the collision.
Reports indicate that the crash involved a 2005 Acura TL and a 2018 Kia Forte. For reasons still being reviewed by authorities, the vehicles collided near a private drive before leaving the roadway and coming to rest in the median on the east side of Route 42. The impact resulted in extensive damage to both vehicles.
One adult male involved in the accident suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased as a result of the collision. Paramedics also assisted two other individuals from the second vehicle, including the driver and a passenger, who sustained a variety of serious injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Traffic in the area was affected while crews worked to manage the scene and remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
