Newbury, VT (February 19, 2026) – Two people were injured on Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on US Route 302 near Leighton Hill Rd in Newbury, according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks responded to the scene on February 16 at approximately 2:28 p.m. Investigators said a 16-year-old driver from Newbury was operating a 1993 Ford Escort and attempted to make a left-hand turn when the vehicle pulled into the path of a second vehicle.
