What Happens After a Head-On Collision in Kansas
Head-on crashes are among the most serious types of roadway collisions. They often occur when a vehicle crosses the center line and enters oncoming traffic. Even at lower speeds, the force of impact can cause significant injuries due to the direct front-end contact.
After this type of crash, a medical evaluation is common, even when injuries appear minor at first. Pain and other symptoms may develop hours later. Law enforcement also reviews roadway markings, vehicle positions, and driver statements to determine how the vehicle left its lane.
In hit-and-run cases, additional steps may be taken to identify whether any driver left the scene or failed to meet reporting requirements under Kansas law.
