The incident remains under review by authorities. Our thoughts are with those affected; we wish them a swift and full recovery.
What Often Leads to Two-Vehicle Crashes at Intersections?
Many intersection crashes occur when a driver fails to yield the right of way. Stop signs and traffic controls are meant to manage vehicle flow, but misjudging another car’s speed or distance can result in a collision.
Afternoon traffic can add to the risk, especially in areas with steady vehicle movement. Drivers may be turning, accelerating, or crossing lanes at the same time.
Even low-speed impacts can cause injuries, particularly to passengers. Seat belt use and vehicle size differences may influence how severe those injuries are in a two-car crash.
