Wichita, KS (March 16, 2026) – A pedestrian who died in a hit-and-run crash early on Sunday morning, March 15, near the Sedgwick County Zoo has been identified as 29-year-old Adam Wayne Condit of Wichita.
Emergency units responded shortly after midnight to the 5800 block of West Windmill Road after reports that a person had been struck by a vehicle. Authorities said Condit was hit by a pickup truck in the area.
Officials reported that the driver left the scene following the crash. Condit died as a result of his injuries.
Investigators later identified the pickup truck believed to be involved in the incident. Detectives are continuing efforts to determine who was driving the vehicle at the time. No arrests have been announced.
