What Factors Can Affect Motorcycle Safety at Intersections?
Intersections such as 5th Street Extended and Fifth Street Station Parkway can bring together vehicles moving in different directions. This can increase the chances of a crash, especially when drivers misjudge speed or distance.
Motorcycles are smaller and may be harder to see compared to larger vehicles. This can reduce reaction time for drivers, particularly in busy areas with multiple turning movements or traffic signals.
Road design, visibility, and timing all influence safety at intersections. Clear sightlines and cautious driving can help reduce the risk of serious crashes involving motorcycles and other vehicles.
