What Can Happen When a Vehicle Leaves the Road on a Curve?
When a driver fails to maintain control on a curve, the vehicle can drift out of its lane or leave the roadway entirely. Curves often require reduced speed and careful steering, especially on rural roads where visibility may be limited.
If a vehicle goes off course, it can strike objects along the roadside, including parked cars or people nearby. Even a brief loss of control can lead to serious outcomes, particularly when others are outside their vehicles.
Road design, weather, and driver reaction time can all affect how safely a curve is handled. Sudden movements or misjudging the turn can increase the risk of a crash in these areas.
