What Happens After a Hit-and-Run Crash Involving a Pedestrian?
Hit-and-run crashes involving pedestrians often lead to immediate efforts to locate the driver and vehicle involved. Information such as vehicle description, direction of travel, and any nearby surveillance footage can help identify the suspect.
Once a vehicle is found, it may be examined for damage or evidence linking it to the scene. Statements from witnesses and physical evidence from the roadway can also provide additional context.
If a suspect is identified, legal proceedings may follow, depending on the circumstances of the crash. These incidents also highlight the risks pedestrians face, especially during early morning hours when visibility may be reduced.
