One person was taken to an area hospital with injuries. All or some westbound lanes of Interstate 290 were closed after the crash and later reopened around 10 a.m.

Why Truck Rollover Crashes Can Cause Major Delays
Truck rollover crashes can block several lanes because of the size and weight of the vehicle involved. A dump truck may also require special equipment to move safely, which can extend closures on busy expressways.
When a large truck overturns onto another vehicle, the crash scene may become more complex. Emergency units often need room to reach the people involved, check for injuries, and manage any hazards near the roadway.
Expressway crashes during the morning commute can slow traffic for miles. Drivers may need to merge into fewer lanes, and backups can remain even after lanes reopen because traffic takes time to return to normal flow.
