Albany, NY (September 11, 2025) – A multi-car crash occurred around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10th, at the intersection of South Pearl Street and Morton Avenue, leaving several individuals injured. According to the Albany Police Department, three vehicle passengers and a pedestrian were involved in the crash, with one of the passengers suffering a broken neck.
The collision unfolded when a vehicle, later identified as being driven by Brandon Labelle, crossed a double yellow line into the oncoming lane, ran a red light, and collided with two cars in the intersection. The vehicle then struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk before crashing into a nearby building.
Emergency crews treated all injured individuals on the scene before transporting them to Albany Medical Center for further care. Fortunately, their injuries were deemed non-life-threatening. However, the passenger who suffered the broken neck is receiving continued medical attention.
Labelle, the driver of the vehicle, also required medical treatment on scene, as reported by authorities. Following an investigation, Labelle was arrested in connection with the crash, and charges are pending.
