Arenac County, MI (January 3, 2025) – A man sustained life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle collision Friday morning on US-23 near M-65. The crash occurred at approximately 6:45 a.m. and remains under investigation by the Arenac County Sheriff’s Department.
According to initial reports, the driver of a Mercury Mariner attempted a left-hand turn onto Hale Road at the intersection but failed to yield, pulling into the path of an oncoming GMC 2500. The vehicles collided, resulting in significant damage.
Emergency responders transported the driver of the Mercury Mariner to MyMichigan Hospital in Standish via MMR EMS. His condition is reported as critical. Authorities have withheld the names of those involved pending notification of the family.
