Ashley, IL (January 17, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries Friday in Washington County. First responders, including Ashley Fire, Washington County EMS, and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, arrived at the scene to assist those hurt in the collision and manage traffic at the crash site.
The accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 51 and Massachusetts Rd. Initial dispatch confirmed road blockage and injury involvement, though the number and severity of injuries have not yet been officially released. Both vehicles sustained damage and caused temporary obstruction of traffic through the area.
Medics on scene provided care to the injured individuals, while fire crews worked to clear debris and secure the roadway. It is not yet known if weather, speed, or other contributing factors played a role in the incident.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
