The incident was first reported around 6:03 p.m. on June 23. Responders from Platoon 34 were dispatched after an automated system alerted authorities to a collision in the area. Upon arrival, emergency personnel confirmed that the crash involved injuries and immediately began medical evaluation and care.
The exact number of people injured and the nature of their injuries have not been officially released. However, the initial classification of “MVAUNK” (motor vehicle accident – unknown) was quickly upgraded to include confirmed injuries, prompting a full EMS and fire response.
