Bexar County, TX (August 16, 2025) – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that occurred Friday night in southeast Bexar County. The accident was reported shortly after 9 p.m. along the southbound lanes of US Hwy 181 near Adkins-Elmendorf Rd.
First responders, including medics and fire crews, arrived on scene to assist, but one individual tragically succumbed to injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities confirmed that the driver involved fled the scene before emergency units arrived. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of family members.
Deputies with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office closed portions of the roadway as they conducted their investigation. Officials are currently searching for the suspect vehicle and driver, urging anyone with information to come forward.
