Boone County, MO (May 12, 2025) – A crash occurred Monday morning, May 11, at approximately 9:14 AM on Route VV, northbound, south of Dripping Springs Rd, in Boone County, Missouri. The incident involved a 2020 Buick Envision and a 2016 Ford Explorer.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the Ford Explorer, which was improperly parked in the roadway, was struck by the Buick Envision. The driver of the Buick Envision, a 40-year-old male from Columbia, MO, attempted to avoid the parked vehicle but ended up crossing the center of the roadway. The front right of the Buick Envision struck the rear left of the Ford Explorer. As a result of the collision, the Buick Envision traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

The driver of the Buick Envision sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital for treatment. The Ford Explorer was towed from the scene by I-70 Towing, and the Buick Envision also sustained total damage and was towed by the same company.

The crash remains under investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and no further details about the circumstances or the driver of the Ford Explorer have been provided at this time.
